It's built against the house of the owners, has it's own entrance and is 50 square meters big. There is a living room with open kitchen, two sleeping rooms with in each two single beds , big cupboard space, and ceiling-fan. Over the kitchen and bathroom (with toilet) is an attic with a window and another bed (you can stand upright here). The kitchen has all the necessary tools to make a good meal, and a big refrigarator. The private terras has a seaview and overlooks the olive-grooves and a part of the village. There is television, video, broadband wireless internet and the use of a washing machine. The apartment has central heating, so it is also suitable for use in the winter.

WHERE IS THE HOUSE SITUATED :

The house is situated on the foot of a little hill, high enough to have a beautiful view. The rocky coast is about 50 meters away and the village is on a 5 minutes walking distance through the olive grooves on a hardened road, which is lighted at night.

THE VILLAGE STOUPA :

Stoupa is a small fishing village, that has tourism for about 15 years. There are two big sandy beaches, the central beach and Kalogria beach, and two smaller ones. There are a few tavern's, cafeteria's, two super markets, some souvernir shops an internet cafe and travel agencies. There is the possibility to hire a car, motobike, pushbike, beach chairs, umbrella's, water bikes and canoes.

You can also go on an excursion from Stoupa to :

• Monemvassia,
• Olympia,
• Mistras,
• Ithomi (Old Messinie),
• Athens

The village lies at the foot of the impressive Taigetos mountains. Here you can make the most beautifull walks and visit the sweet mountain villages.

THE OWNERS :

We are a half Greek, half Dutch family with two children, girls, 25 and 20 years old. There is a piece of land seperately fenced where there are chickens. Around the house are two dogs (friendly) and some cats, who are not alowed inside the house.

HOW TO REACH STOUPA:

By charter from the U.K. straight to Kalamata
By airplane to Athens and from here you can go to Kalamata by bus (4 hours)
By taxi from Athens to Stoupa
A taxi from Kalamata costs about 60 euros.
By hired car from Athens
By car you can go to Italie and then with the boat to Patras. From there it is a 4 hours drive to Stoupa.
